Support Racial Equity in Our Schools and Communities
RARE Launches Annual End-of-Year Fundraising Campaign
RARE will celebrate its 5th anniversary in 2025. The years have gone by quickly. We’re proud of what RARE has accomplished with your help, but there’s so much more to do!
To support RARE’s many key activities in 2025 and beyond, we’ve launched an end-of-year fundraising campaign. Please read on to play a role in supporting RARE’s efforts!
Looking forward to 2025, RARE has ambitious plans to expand our Connections program, sparking more powerful relationships and leadership skills of diverse high school students at Roosevelt and Garfield. Plans are afoot to offer Connections to more schools in the future.
RARE is moving forward with a range of additional programs featured on our our website and in our monthly newsletter.
We’re focused, just as we have been since our founding, on advancing racial equity by empowering students.
We’ve seen firsthand the impact this makes. This year, thanks to contributions from people like you, our first James A. Davis Jr. Scholarship recipients achieved notable milestones: Leah graduated with a degree in Political Science, and Elsabeth is on track to complete her Master’s in Computer Science next year.
Our Board is as diverse and committed as ever to RARE’s success. Some of us have been here since the beginning, including Board Chair Joe Hunter. Others have joined more recently. Check us out on the About Us page of RARE’s website!
We all know that supporting racial equity is more important than ever in these tumultuous times.
Each Board member makes their own annual donation to RARE, and we hope you’ll join us by also making a gift that reflects your commitment to RARE and its programs.
Together, let’s continue building a brighter, more equitable future.
Check out our Required Minimum Distribution page for donation options that include tax benefits.
Thank you again for being a part of RARE’s community!
