Scholarship Fund Nears Self-Sustaining Status
The James A Davis Memorial Scholarship fund has topped $137,000!
RARE would like to express its gratitude to all donors, RHS alumni and others alike, for enabling us to reach this level in four months of fundraising. We are more than halfway to our goal of $250,000, which will allow the scholarship fund to be self-sustaining in perpetuity. One foundation of our recent success in fundraising has been the support of RHS alumni from the classes of 1970, 1972 and 1973 and we look forward to directly involving more classes of RHS alumni in the fundraising effort and in RARE’s mission more generally. The Donor Wall reflects the class year of those donors who provide it, and soon will feature individual Donor Class Pages to show the contributions of different RHS year classes.
We have also raised about $15,000 for the documentary film, Roosevelt High School in Black and White, putting us near the halfway point in that effort as well. Thanks to individual donors and to the Roosevelt Foundation for the contributions to the film!
